Frontier Commits 1% of Net Profit to Gogo Olive Charity

Frontier is proud to announce that 1% of its net profit has been donated to Gogo Olive, a Scottish-based charity located in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe which is focused on rehabilitation of women prisoners. The funds are earmarked for education, healthcare, and emergency support for women and their dependents following their release from prison. This initiative aims to provide stability and employment to women, many of whom have young children and babies, as they work to rebuild their lives post-incarceration.

The partnership with Gogo Olive highlights Frontier’s dedication to making a positive impact both in Zimbabwe and across the African continent, underscoring the company's commitment to being a responsible business.

According to UNICEF Zimbabwe, poverty “has a child’s face in Zimbabwe”. Of the 6.3 million boys and girls in the country, 4.8 million live in poverty, including 1.6 million in extreme poverty. Inspired by the work of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and Cherie Blair herself, who tirelessly advocates for women's empowerment globally, Frontier's CEO Gayle Meikle expressed her pride in supporting such an impactful cause.

Gayle commented:

"Committing 1% of our net profit to this incredible organisation, Gogo Olive, in my home country, is something of which the whole team at Frontier feels proud. There are many reasons companies give to charity or community causes, but for us, it simply gives us a deeper purpose. We are glad that we can contribute to the work of this amazing charity, and we take our corporate responsibility, in line with our business size, very seriously. It is an honour to help these creative and inspiring women - themselves entrepreneurs, who survive and thrive against all odds.

“Empowering women to sustain themselves and their dependents and live to their full potential is a powerful way to improve outcomes for communities, ultimately leading to stronger economies. Visiting the headquarters of Gogo Olive in my hometown of Mutare is an uplifting and empowering experience for me and it is an honour and privilege for Frontier to be associated as a supporter."

Through this continued commitment, Frontier aims to drive meaningful change and empower women in Zimbabwe. To find out more about Gogo Olive and support the charity yourself, visit https://gogo-olive.com/
