Frontier, CEO Gayle Meikle Shares her Experience from the Managing Mining, Oil and Gas for National Development Programme at Oxford

Frontier is more than an events company; we advise governments on Licensing Strategies and provide them with an unrivalled Marketing & Promotion service to reach the global upstream sector rapidly and effectively.

My time at the Managing Mining, Oil & Gas for National Development programme at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, has been truly transformative for me and the services we offer. Covering global decarbonisation, exploration licensing and discovery, legal and policy frameworks, tax and revenue collection, NOCs, managing and spending revenues, local impacts, jobs and private sector development, the course has provided a deep perspective on good (and not so good) governance practices and case studies around the world in extractives.

Excited to share insights at the upcoming World Energies Summit | The World Upstream Conference and Africa Energies Summit® | The Africa Upstream Conference, where I will discuss key learnings from my experience with peers and government officials from 20 countries, including Ghana, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Uganda, as well as representatives from Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Mongolia, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia.

Thank you to the incredible Ngaire Woods and Paul Collier and thank you to Dr. James (Jim) Cust, David Manley, Daniel Fletcher, Ana Elizabeth Bastida, Alexandra Readhead, Valerie Marcel, Dr Carole Nakhle, Eric Parrado, Isabelle Ramdoo, Ana Carolina González Espinosa, Eric Werker for your world class instruction and guidance and to University of Oxford and Natural Resource Governance Institute for the opportunity.
